The best thing about memories is creating them. Things end, but memories last forever
An Impromptu picnic
Even though summer is almost over, I hope you know that you can have picnics in different spaces and seasons. Just find the right space, decorations, and good weather, BOOM! You can create magic.
I recently did my first impromptu picnic, and it turned out very well. I had a lot of fun doing it.
The Set-up
We used my backyard and make it picnic-ready. I put a white backdrop I got from amazon and add a blanket on top of a pallet.
Here are the things used for the picnic:
- Blanket/backdrop
- Pallet
- Pillows
- natural/artificial flowers
- Plate/spoons
- placemats
- Food
Most of the things we use are things that I already have at home, and we just had to buy the food items from Walmart.
Amazon has some cute picnic baskets that have so many things you can use for picnics.
The food
We opted to use more fruits, instead of spending too much time cooking. There were different fruits and that turn out to be the best idea for us. For food, we went to Walmart and got as many fruits as we needed.
Making a charcuterie board can be made with any food of your choice.
Food for the picnic:
- Pineapple
- Mangoes
- Strawberries
- Watermelons
- Nuts
- Croissants
- Wine
We also had grapes and cherries, but, because we were rushing, we forgot to add them.
The picnic video in 15 seconds
This turns out to be an amazing day. The scenery was beautiful, we took pictures, had some good conversations and it was a relaxing/refreshing experience.
The only downside was our tiny friends (flies) came to visit, so we had to constantly cover the food.
Guess who is going to be hosting more picnics in the future? Yep, it’s me! I like to experience a change of scenery and enjoy a break away from the normal schedule.
