Nothing screams summer more than a perfect lightweight cut-out dress. What better way to kick off the summer, if not by adding a comfortable, cute, and affordable dress to your wardrobe? Cut-out dresses are definitely a thing this year, and I think they’ll be around for a while. I love that Target is bringing not only good quality but also really cute dresses. Every time I go to that store, there are some fire dresses. Who does not love a comfortable, beautiful dress that works for every event? Yes, this perfect, affordable dress can be styled for so many different occasions. Rock it with heels for weddings or brunch, with sneakers for a movie and a slide for running errands. The dress’s color is called the Khaki Gingham Check. It also came in the color olive green. The Khaki Gingham Check color is more on the neutral side but can also pass for yellow. I know that even though bold-colored outfits are trendy right now, not everyone loves them. This is the perfect dress that has the right amount of neutral, yet its colors are bold.

Let’s talk accessories

I went with these wooden earrings because they complement the colors of the dress. I decided to be on the neutral side with my whole outfit. My Sarah Flints’ Perfect Sandal 100 heels match so well with the entire look, and it definitely gives a rich aunty monochromatic look. I chose not to wear a necklace because the dress has a lovely neckline cut. I completed the look with a brownish purse that I also got at Target.

There are so many beautiful cut-out dresses, but the details on this dress are everything! The colors and the cut from the top to the one at the back give the right amount of grown, yet sexy. 

This outfit overall turned out to be a good monochromatic look. Let’s not forget the makeup and the hairstyle, because keeping everything simple makes the outfit come out clean and chic. My makeup was super neutral and the ponytail hairstyle was just right for this look to be the perfect outfit for summer.

My go-to summer dress

It was love at first sight. I tried this dress on over my outfit at the Target store, because I didn’t want to go to the changing room for one dress. I knew immediately that this dress was about to be my go-to dress this summer. I knew I liked the dress, but when a stranger confirmed that this perfect, affordable summer dress was truly tailored for me and looked fantastic, there was no turning back!
