Goals to achieve before the year-end

2021 goals

Things that I can accomplish in six months

The second half of the year is going so fast. I still need to accomplish the goals that I set at the beginning of the year. Is it too late? I do not believe that it is late. There is time for me to get things done. I know that some dreams take time to be achieved. For example, getting a bachelor’s degree in six months is not realistic, but the good thing is you can start now instead of waiting for next year. I started 2021 thinking that by June I will be in the best shape of my life, but nope, things happened, and I gained extra weight. But instead of throwing that dream away or keep beating myself. I will put in the work of bringing that dream alive by the end of this year.

Achieving goals and dreams is always a personal decision, and everyone has their own unique pace. I will be sharing five things I will be working on to achieve by the end of 2021. I hope this will also inspire you not to give up and see it as an opportunity to accomplish or start working on those dreams.

1. Read Daily

I have found that reading daily reduces stress, builds knowledge, and gives me a chance to learn from others’ perspectives. My goal is to start reading at least 15 minutes of self-help books per day and five minutes of the Bible each day.

2. Healthy lifestyle

Whenever I have to discuss my health journey, I get emotional because I feel like I have been on this journey for my entire life. I was overweight for most of my teenage years, and those weren’t the best memories. After being pregnant for two years, my emotions have been on a rollercoaster. But I will be committing to exercising for 30 minutes, five days a week, and eating a low-carb diet

3. Savings

I would like to also improve my spending habits. I am usually a big saver, but I have been struggling lately. I find that when I am unhappy, I buy unnecessary items. Retail therapy is always on my list of things to do for self-care, but it is getting out of control. It is important for me to start spending within my budget.

4. Organization

This sounds impossible to accomplish because I have three active children, however, I would appreciate having a well-organized environment. To achieve this, I will be adding a cleaning schedule in which I will spend twenty minutes cleaning and organizing before going to bed.

5. New recipes

Cooking is not my strongest suit, but I do enjoy a good meal. I believe I am limiting myself by only eating foods I am familiar with. I want to learn how to cook four new foods by December 2021.

These are all short-term goals, but as I previously stated, now is a great time to start working on those long-term goals. I’ll make another post at the end of the year to update you on my progress. You can also join me so that we can all crush our 2021 goals together. We don’t have to share the same objectives, but we can hold each other accountable.

Please share a goal you hope to accomplish by the end of the year.
