Wearing Colors/neutrals in 2021

Wearing colors

After all the craziness we have been through in 2020, 2021 is not the year to allow society to dictate what we should wear. Dressing in colors or neutrals should be a choice. It is about what makes a person beautiful, confident, and happy.

I have seen different arguments about wearing colors or neutrals. Some people say neutrals are boring but more professional and colors are the other way round ( fun and unprofessional).

I say they are whatever you make them. Go for what makes you happy.

Depending on how you style an outfit, it can be appropriate for any event. For example, you can wear yellow to work, and black to a wedding.

Your only restriction for not wearing the color you want is if your work has a dress code that does not permit all colors or if you are going to an event where the host requests a dress code.

If you are someone that has always worn neutrals but will love to start adding colors to your outfits, you can start with accessories. A colored scarf, jewelry, purse /bag, or shoes make a great difference.  You can also start by adding one colored item to your wardrobe.

Whatever outfit style you decided to go with, remember as long as it makes you feel beautiful, confident, and happy, society’s standards or opinion does not matter.

Rock those colors or neutrals and have fun.

I agree with you here! I used to be afraid to wear bold colors because of my skin tone. 2020 definitely showed me that tomorrow is not promised and if you wanna wear white after Labor Day, put it on and be fly sis!!! I’m no longer limiting myself to the things I desire.
